In the Kherson region, a soldier shot two brothers and tried to burn their bodies.

The 29-year-old man was in a state of drug intoxication. 

The Central District Court of the city of Mykolaiv reported this on April 9. 

According to the investigation, the tragedy happened on the night of April 6 in one of the settlements of the Kherson region.

The 29-year-old soldier was on duty under the influence of drugs.

At night, he shot two other soldiers.

To cover up his crime, the suspect set fire to the house where the double murder took place. 

At the court, the suspect stated that he did not remember anything about the events of that night.

The prosecutor asked the judge to send the 29-year-old soldier into custody without bail.

The court satisfied this decision. 

The suspect is charged with part 1, part 2 of article 115, part 2 of article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. 

We will remind you that a similar incident happened on January 16, 2023, while on duty at one of the military facilities.

The junior sergeant, in a state of alcoholic intoxication, entered the dugout, where the servicemen spent the night.

From a hand machine gun, he fired almost a dozen rounds at one soldier and a few more at another.

A 26-year-old soldier and his 48-year-old father died at the scene.
