In Lviv, law enforcement officers are investigating what caused the death of a woman whose body was found mutilated in the elevator of her own home, reports TSN.  

According to the police, residents of the building complained that the elevator was not working.

When the elevator service employee opened the door, they found a body in the cabin.

The city council said that the woman reached her 6th floor, so the fall of the cabin is denied.

Residents say that the elevator was old and creaked so much that it was scary to ride it.

"The body of a 47-year-old woman was found in the elevator cabin. The woman has two children, 10 and 12 years old, her husband died 3 years ago," the city council said.

Specialists work with women's children.
