While busting drug smuggling from across the border, the police have arrested two drug smugglers.
11 kg of heroin worth Rs 70 crore and Rs 11.82 lakh in cash have been recovered from their possession.
Both have confessed during interrogation that this consignment has been sent from Pakistan.
Two Pakistani drug smugglers were arrested on Thursday and more than 11 kg of heroin worth Rs 70 crore was recovered from their possession.
The police officer gave this information.
The officer said that cash worth more than Rs 11 lakh has also been recovered from the smugglers.
Kashmir's Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Vijay Kumar tweeted, 'Two cross border smugglers Sajjad Badana and Zaheer Tanch have been arrested by Srinagar Police from Karnah Kupwara.
11.089 kg of heroin (worth Rs 70 crore in the international market) and Rs 11,82,500 in cash have been seized from the smugglers.
The officer said that an FIR has been registered against the smugglers at Rajbagh police station under the NDPS Act.
The ADGP told that the drug had come from Pakistan.
