The Taoyuan City Government’s Water Affairs Bureau signed a memorandum of academic exchange and cooperation with the Disaster Prevention Institute of Kyoto University in Japan at the Fullon Hotel in Taoyuan. and flood disaster-related experience sharing, and the application of smart technology in disaster prevention and relief experience sharing is in line with international standards.

In recent years, the Water Affairs Bureau has developed the "Water Regime Disaster Prevention Information System" combined with weather observation and research information, which can pre-research and judge hot areas that may be flooded, and carry out pre-disaster preparations and resource scheduling in advance. In addition, the Water Affairs Bureau has the largest number of 41 in the country. Enterprises assist water conservancy disaster prevention and provide sufficient disaster prevention energy; develop innovative disaster prevention community industrialization models, and provide wisdom and disaster prevention for Taoyuan people to learn from Japan.
