9,155 motor vehicles were checked as part of the ordered specialist police operation to comply with the Road Traffic Act.

11,437 drivers and passengers were checked.

2,516 slips and 620 acts were drawn up for established administrative violations.

The focus of the action is the prohibition of driving by drivers who have used alcohol, narcotic substances and/or their analogues, as well as driving of motor vehicles by unlicensed drivers, reports the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Within the past day, a total of 12 drivers were found to have gotten behind the wheel after drinking alcohol - 8 of them drove after drinking alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per thousand, 4 - with more than 1.2 per 1000, and one refused to be tested.

8 people were found to be driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues, and another eight refused to be tested.

2,489 motor vehicles and 2,696 drivers and passengers were checked from the aggregated data using the "linear control" method;

for detected violations, 774 slips and 157 AUAN were drawn up.

Two drivers were found to have driven after consuming 0.5 to 1.2 parts per million of alcohol, and one – over 1.2 parts per million.

Two of them sat behind the wheel under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues.
