[Reporter Chen Yun/Taipei Report] Tsai Ing-wen met with US House Speaker McCarthy at the Reagan Presidential Library in California on the 5th US Western time. President Tsai arrived at the venue earlier, and McCarthy greeted him personally at the door. Stateside meet with the Speaker of the US Congress.

President Tsai arrived at the Reagan Library accompanied by Representative Xiao Meiqin in the United States. McCarthy also went to the door ahead of time to welcome him.

President Tsai will have a closed-door meeting with McCarthy, and cross-party members of the U.S. House of Representatives will also participate. After the meeting ends at noon, Tsai Ing-wen and McCarthy will speak publicly, followed by a luncheon. McCarthy will also hold a press conference with members of Congress in the afternoon.
