New Taipei Mayor Hou Youyi said that the "1,200 yuan monthly ticket" has been discussed intensively in the four counties and cities. Submit the application to the central government at the end of the month, including Taiwan Railway, Shuangbei MRT, Taoyuan MRT, light rail, national highway passenger transportation, buses, public bicycles, etc., and they can be on the road as early as July. By then, a large number of vehicles will be prevented from entering New Taipei City, and students , work and other commuters burden.

"There is only the last mile left for the 1,200-yuan monthly pass." Zhong Mingshi, director of the Transportation Bureau of New Taipei City, revealed that the discussions in the four counties and cities have matured, and the details of the content have been finalized during this period, including ticket issuance, refund services, revenue distribution, and operating regulations. Wait, he bluntly said that it is not a small project. Before the end of this month, the final confirmation will be made through the "Jibei Beitao Public Transport Development Platform". Together, they will write a plan to apply to the central government and sign an agreement between the 4 counties and cities.

Zhong Mingshi said that in the 1,200 yuan monthly pass, the central government is expected to subsidize 50% of the public transportation within the area, and 90% of the Taiwan Railway and highway passenger transportation. The design and image of the ticket is in charge of the Ministry of Communications.

Zhong said that the shortage of manpower for passenger transport is the most worrying part of counties and cities, and he hopes that the central government can try to solve it before monthly tickets are put on the road.
