On April 5, the commercial ship Joe 2 sank off the coast of Antalya under a foreign flag, heading to a port in Ukraine. 

This was reported by the Turkish TV channel TRT Haber.

They specified that it was a commercial vessel under the flag of Guinea-Bissau.

The Antalya governorate indicated that the ship sank off the coast of Kumluj district.

The ship began to sink on the night of April 5 and at 03:47 a general emergency distress signal was issued to all vessels in the area, the Coast Guard said.

After receiving this signal, a corvette, seven boats, two helicopters and an aircraft from the Coast Guard went to the scene.

It is reported that

as a result of the incident, three people died and three people were injured

A search and rescue operation is currently underway, but the work of rescuers is adversely affected by a storm at sea.
