The Metropolitan himself responded to these comments as follows: "Do we drive? Yes, we drive cars, I have a Mercedes. This is not a luxury, but a means of transportation. If they produced a good car of ours, I would drive it. I don't see anything here today they scold me: "You even drive with a laurel!" But I am almost fifty years old, I have diabetes, my joints hurt."  

At different times, Metropolitan Pavlo flashed three elite class cars, all Mercedes brands:

On October 2, 2022, Ukrainian border guards detained Metropolitan Pavle in this car while trying to take church property, including icons, abroad.

The detainee himself explained this occasion by the fact that he allegedly "went to Moldova for diagnosis", and the icons were "purchased in a church pew and have no historical value".

Also, back in 2015, Pavla's driver violated traffic rules

in this car , for which he was stopped by the police.

The law enforcement officers demanded the driver to provide his license, but Pavlo himself came out to them from the salon and pathetically declared: "If I allow it, you take it, if I don't allow it, you don't take it."

At the law enforcement officer's reply that the driver violated traffic rules, Pavlo snapped: "Nothing, thank God."

After that, they got into the car with the driver and drove away without showing their documents.
