Lula made these statements during a meeting with his ministers at the Planalto Palace, the seat of the Executive, where

he went on Monday after recovering from bronchopneumonia.

The ruler criticized negative assessments that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will grow 0.1 percent per year and stated "to be convinced that the country is going to make a leap in quality."

This Monday, economists from the Central Bank maintained their forecast for growth of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at 0.9% for 2023, which will increase to 1.4% in 2024. The specialists also projected inflation of 5.96%.

The Brazilian economy grew by 2.9% in 2022.

The president also commented that in the coming days, coinciding with the 100 days of his Executive,

various measures will be announced to boost investments in the industrial sector, agriculture and infrastructure.

When the government works in the right direction, there are investments and job creation.

77-year-old Lula spent 10 days at the official residence of the capital's Palacio de la Alvorada during medical attention.

The Planalto Palace, headquarters of the Executive Power, announced on March 23 that the former unionist was diagnosed with bronchopneumonia.

Due to this illness, he had to reschedule his trip to China, where he plans to talk with his counterpart Xi Jinping.

The trip is scheduled for next week, arriving on April 12.

Lula will also make visits to Shanghai and Beijing.
