Military expert Oleg Zhdanov believes that placing nuclear weapons in Belarus will not protect this country from NATO, but on the contrary, Putin has made the neighboring country "the number one target". 

He said this in a comment to Channel 24. 

Zhdanov noted that the Belarusian regime never ceases to surprise him, if since the dictator Putin spoke about the completion of the construction of a nuclear storage facility in a neighboring state, then Lukashenko went even further and announced the deployment of intercontinental ballistic missiles in his state. 

A military expert believes that the deployment of nuclear weapons will not protect the Lukashenko regime from NATO.

On the contrary, Belarus can become the number one target.

It is this storage that can be attacked with conventional weapons. 

"As a result of this strike, the bases will be destroyed and the effect of a "dirty" bomb will be produced, i.e. contamination of the territory of Belarus, - he noted that the repository is probably being built not far from Minsk," Zhdanov believes.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, believes that Putin's statements regarding the placement of nuclear weapons in Belarus are simple blackmail.
