[Reporter Xu Shenglun/New Taipei Report] A serious fire broke out in Tamsui, New Taipei City at around 9:00 this morning. A plastic injection factory made of iron sheets suddenly caught fire at the top of Danshui District. A large amount of black smoke was emitted from the scene. Firefighters were called to the rescue. Fortunately, today is a holiday, and no one was trapped in the factory. Firefighters brought the fire under control around 10:00, and the fire was fully extinguished at 11:01.

It is understood that the burning area at the scene is about 200 pings. A total of 44 vehicles and 132 people were dispatched to rescue this time.

The firefighters said that because the burning area was too large, the cause of the fire could not be known at first, and the fault of the equipment or the short circuit of the wires could not be ruled out.

The fire at the plastics factory filled the sky with black smoke, almost covering the sky.
