[Reporter Huang Mingtang/Taitung Report] In order to purify the law and order in the area under its jurisdiction, the Taitung Branch of the Taitung County Police Department continues to carry out powerful sweeps against gang-operated, dependent, besieged or depended on business premises and trouble-prone places.

Today, it was found that a snack bar in Taitung City hired a Chinese woman to serve as a table companion, to curb the unhealthy practice of engaging in special industries under the guise of visiting relatives.

The Taitung Police Department stated that it received information a few days ago that a snack bar in Taitung City suspected of illegally employing a Chinese woman to sit on the table to accompany drinks. In cooperation with the Baidong Special Team of the Southern District Affairs Brigade, the police were mobilized on the 2nd to carry out the investigation and seized in one fell swoop that four Chinese women were hired to sit on the table to accompany the wine in the snack bar.

Because they all entered the country in the name of visiting relatives, but worked illegally, they have violated the Regulations on Relations between People in Taiwan and Mainland China. The whole case was transferred to the Taitung District Prosecutor's Office for investigation.

Chen Weiwen, director of the Taitung Police Department, said that it is the focus of the police's continuous security work to carry out powerful sweeps against the investment, operation, and livelihood industries and dependent premises where gangs intervene in the business, and to curb pornography.
