Unequal distribution of precipitations After a long period of low precipitation, cases of precipitation exceeding the monthly norm in one day have become a characteristic trend of recent years.

According to APA, the head of the National Hydrometeorology Service, Rafig Verdiyev, said that in two days of April, intensive precipitation has already exceeded the monthly norm in the Absheron peninsula, with a total amount of 36 mm, reaching 152 percent of the monthly norm.

This is the highest indicator in the last 21 years: "The last time on April 24, 2013, 26 mm of rain fell in Baku, which was 113% of the monthly norm."

According to the head of the service, the rainy weather observed in the regions had a positive effect on the wetness of the rivers, and the repetition and increase of such cases indicates the consequences of climate changes.
