On March 31 and on the reflection day of April 1, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Montana checked a total of ten vote-buying signals that arrived from different parts of the region.

Signals are also being checked today, and information will be released in the afternoon, the spokesperson of the police directorate, Irene Tokina, told BTA.

During the election campaign in the Montana region, 11 pre-trial proceedings were instituted for vote buying under Article 167 of the Criminal Code, and in nine places the police found notebooks and sheets with names of people and sums of money written against them.
