Orest Kinash, a public figure and mountain climbing and mountain tourism instructor, died in Bakhmut, Donetsk region.

He was an officer of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The tourist information center reported the death of the climber.

"Unfortunately, Orest is gone today. And this is a great loss for the entire Ukrainian traveling community. Orest was a worthy person. He is worthy that one day, in the territory of the Caucasus liberated from the Russians, one of these peaks named after the tyrants will be renamed to Kinash Peak ", the message emphasizes.

By the way, from 2013, Kinash took up mountaineering professionally, became an instructor, trained and led people to the mountains of the Caucasus, Kyrgyzstan and the Carpathians.

Before the start of the full-scale Russian invasion on February 24, 2022, Kinash documented Russian war crimes in Donbas.

And from the beginning of the great war, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces.

Two weeks ago, Orest received a shrapnel wound.

He refused hospitalization.

Instead, he went on vacation for ten days.

Then he returned to the front line.

He died on the first day after his return.
