[Reporter Tong Zhenguo/Report from Nantou] A little more!

Continuous drought has hit the tea industry in Nantou County hard, and the coming spring tea production is facing a sharp drop. Recently, two consecutive waves of spring rains have been reported. The high-altitude tea area of Renai Township, where the tea trees in the county germinate last, is finally looking forward to the blessing of the rain god. "Life-saving water" will help the tea buds to continue to grow, and pray for continuous rain from the sky. Although the previous drought has inevitably reduced production, I hope there will be a harvest to reduce losses.

Since the beginning of winter last year, there has been little significant rainfall in the central mountainous areas, which has greatly affected agricultural production. There have also been serious disasters in various tea areas in Nantou County. Not only did the germination of tea trees slow down or not germinate, but the whole plant died. Many tea farmers believe that the disaster is worse than the previous year. The drought is even more severe. The Council of Agriculture has also included tea from Nantou County in cash assistance and low-interest loans for agricultural natural disasters in order to reduce losses for tea farmers.

Recently, two consecutive waves of spring rains have been reported, and the tea trees germinate late in the high-altitude tea area of Ren'ai Township, which is finally nourished by the rain. Tea farmers said that these two waves of spring rains are really "life-saving water" for the tea trees, especially today's rainfall lasted from early morning to noon , the cumulative rainfall in Renai Township has already reached 40 millimeters. If the rain does not come again, the damage will only be more serious. Now I can take a breather for the time being, and hope that there will be more rain in the spring.

After 2 waves of spring rain, the tea buds in the high-altitude tea area of Ren'ai Township were finally moistened by the rain, which helped the subsequent growth.
