The Shevchenkiv court of the capital chose a preventive measure for the former vicar of the Kyiv-Pechersk

Metropolitan Pavel Lebed, in the form of two months of house arrest.

The corresponding decision was made at the court session, which took place on April 1.

"The investigation established that beginning on February 24, 2022, Petro Lebid (Metropolitan Pavlo) decided to justify the aggression of the Russian Federation, being the vicar of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra by communicating with the parishioners of the monastery," the prosecutor said and asked the court to place the priest under house arrest for 2 months with wearing a bracelet.

The court granted the request of the prosecutors and sentenced the accused to two months of house arrest.

It will be recalled that it was previously reported that on April 1, the Shevchenkiv court of the capital

rescheduled the meeting regarding the selection of a preventive measure for the former deputy of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavlo Lebed

.

Before that, the judge 

adjourned the hearing to April 3 due to the defendant's bad feelings

.

The court offered to call an ambulance, but Lebyd refused.

interceded for the vicar of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Pavlo, who was charged with suspicion, in particular, regarding the article on the justification of Russia's aggression
