Ukrainian servicemen monitor the situation in the northern direction around the clock to identify and neutralize possible threats from the Russian army, whose units are concentrated in the Bryansk and Kursk regions, as well as in the border areas of Belarus.

This was reported by the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev, in a comment to "Ukrinform". 

According to him, Russian troops are systematically shelling Ukrainian territory. 

"Our defenders are carrying out tasks to stabilize the situation and control it," the commander assured.

He also added that the Ukrainian military is taking all necessary measures to destroy enemy aerial targets of the Shahid combat drones and the Orlan and Varta reconnaissance drones.

"We know their capabilities, we are taking all the necessary measures, taking into account the entire security sector, to neutralize them and use radar control tools," Nayev noted.

We will remind you that the Russian army began to attack Ukraine more actively with drones from the northern direction, probably due to the shorter distance that the drone flies through the territory of Ukraine.
