[Reporter Huang Xulei/Kaohsiung Report] The Namaxia and Taoyuan Mountains began to rain in the morning, and the rain intensified around noon. This was the first time since last year that the rain lasted for several hours. The green plum harvesting farmers and residents said happily, "It finally rained gone."

The Central Meteorological Bureau stated that due to the eastward movement of the cloud and rain area in South China, there will be short-term rain in some mountainous areas in Kaohsiung, and the probability of rainfall on flat land and hills is 20%.

In the area around Meishankou on Nanheng Highway 20 near Line 105, the rain started in the morning and intensified towards noon, and it rained heavily from Meishankou to Zhongzhiguan. The rain in the Nanheng area is slightly heavy, and it has not yet reached the level of disaster rain. It is reminded to bring rain gear when going out.

Yan Zhongyi, Mayor of Meishan District, Taoyuan District, said that it was drizzling when we went out in the morning, and the rain intensified at noon. When we went to Namasia, we found that the rain was even heavier. I was really happy. I haven't seen such heavy rain in almost a year.

The water conditions in the south are at night and the water supply period for large households is depressurized. Currently, it is the harvest season for Taoyuan, Liugui and Jiaxian green plums. The fruit drop is serious and the fruit setting rate is poor. Some particles are "smaller than the knuckle of an adult's little finger."

The Namasia District Office stated that the rain was getting heavier until 2 p.m., and it hadn’t rained for a long time. It is now the green plum harvest season, which must be of great help to fruit farmers.
