German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that NATO countries will hand over two battalions of German Leopard 2

tanks

and four Leopard 1 tanks to the Armed Forces. In total, we are talking about 160 units.

The minister said this in an interview with Die Welt.

However, according to him, it is unlikely to be possible to send more such weapons to Ukraine.

After all, "the allies' resources are limited."

Pistorius emphasized that even Berlin "cannot give everything, because there are reserves that cannot be spent."

"I don't see a scenario in which it will be possible to send additional Leopards to Ukraine beyond what was announced," the head of the German Defense Ministry said.

The German minister also said that Poland, together with its allies, will send two battalions of Leopard 2 - 60 tanks to the Armed Forces.

In addition, by the end of 2023, 100 Leopard 1 tanks, assembled in four battalions, will be added to them.

Pistorius expressed the opinion that "in the medium term, it will be possible to cover the needs of Ukraine."

We will remind, the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy

Reznikov, published a video of a test drive of

Strykers and Cougars armored vehicles.

Reznikov stated that he is glad that the best equipment in the world will now be in the hands of the best warriors.
