[Reporter Cai Yahua/Taipei Report] Since the Ching Ming holiday began, many people will visit graves and pay respects to their ancestors. However, Beishi Councilor Zhang Sigang received complaints from the public that the No. 3 Neihu Cemetery found that the cemetery of the ancestors had been erected in the Taipei City Government’s burial area. He also found that the city government provided compensation and relief funds for the relocation operation, but did not clearly publicize the policy, which may be suspected of profiteering.

In this regard, the Beishi Funeral Management Office stated that if banners or leaflets are hung in the cemetery area, they will be removed immediately as soon as they are found.

Zhang Sigang pointed out that Beijing Jingmei No. 13, Jingmei No. 5, Neihu No. 3 cemeteries and other cemeteries are undergoing relocation operations. The city government has also set up number plates in each cemetery. The cemetery needs to be relocated, and the funeral office only puts up number plates in individual cemetery areas, on which there are only the number of the tomb and the phone number of the funeral office, but there is no relevant relocation information nearby.

Zhang Sigang said that the city government has stipulated the compensation and relief funds for tomb relocation. Legal tombs provide compensation of more than 60,000 yuan. Relocation relief funds are also provided for legal graves that should not be relocated. Relevant cemeteries There are no relevant reminder notices at the scene, which may cause the public to lose their rights, and even allow the funeral industry to take advantage of the opportunity to profit.

Zhang Sigang said that the tomb-sweeping people also found that the funeral industry hung up banners and posted leaflets in the cemetery, which said "the relocation project includes a tower space starting at 60,000 yuan" to solicit business. Call the undertaker to start the consultation.

Funeral offices should strengthen publicity, set up a temporary service desk in the cemetery for public consultation, and hang relevant banners to publicize the municipal government's relocation compensation fees and other related policies.

In this regard, the Funeral Office stated that in order to handle the relocation project of Neihu No. 3 Cemetery, a temporary service office was set up at the entrance of the cemetery from March 16. Until August 15, there will be staff on duty every day to provide public consultation on relocation And accept applications and other matters, and hang red cloth strips at the entrance of the cemetery, and post reburial announcements, compensation and relief fund lists and other reburial information in the temporary service office. The announcement also explains the reasons for reburial.

The funeral office stated that if the operators hang cloth strips, set up scaffolding, post leaflets, etc. on private land, if it is within the scope of private land, they can only ask the operators to improve by persuasion.

Within the area of Neihu No. 3 Cemetery managed by the Funeral Office, operators have been clearly prohibited from hanging banners, posting leaflets, etc., and personnel have been sent to inspect, and if found, they will be removed immediately.
