The Security Service of Ukraine, on the morning of April 1, at 7:30 a.m., announced suspicion against the former vicar of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavlo.

Pavlo himself stated this in a video message.

According to him, his house is being searched.

According to media reports, he was charged with two articles, in particular, he is suspected of inciting inter-religious enmity (p. 161 of the Criminal Code) and justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation (Article 436 of the Criminal Code).

We will remind, in Ukraine Metropolitan

Pavlo

received the nickname "Pasha Mercedes" for his special love for expensive cars.

The Metropolitan himself responded to these comments as follows: "Do we drive? Yes, we drive cars, I have a Mercedes. This is not a luxury, but a means of transportation. If they produced a good car of ours, I would drive it. I don't see anything here today they scold me: "You even drive with a laurel!" But I am almost fifty years old, have diabetes, and my joints hurt.

Meanwhile, the situation with

the eviction from the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra

of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, affiliated with the Moscow Patriarchate, reached an impasse.
