The Russian army failed to fulfill the task of dictator Vladimir Putin during the so-called "great offensive".

Putin wanted his troops to reach the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Andrii Yusov, representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, stated this,

He noted that the "apogee" of the campaign, which was called "the new Russian major offensive", is now taking place.

"However, it is worth reminding both Ukraine and the whole world that we are living in the conditions of a full-scale invasion from February 24, 2022. This is an attempt by the enemy to demoralize Ukrainian society, as well as to demoralize our partners and allies, they say, there is such an armada here, why give them more help," said Yusov.

He noted that the Russian dictator Putin set the task of capturing the entire Donetsk and Luhansk regions by the end of March.

"The regular deadlines and tasks that Putin set before the occupation corps in Ukraine, in particular, before Valery Gerasimov after he was appointed to be responsible for the war in Ukraine, have failed," said the representative of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

In addition, Yusov stated that during the "great offensive" the number of destroyed equipment and liquidated occupiers increased significantly.

"This means that so far none of the announced strategic goals of this shameful war, which the Russians call SVO, has been achieved and will not be achieved," Yusov emphasized.

It will be recalled that it was previously reported that Russia's plan to plunge Ukraine into a blackout failed, so they are returning to the tactics that were in place in the first days of the full-scale invasion of Russia - February 24, 2022.

Their targets during massive attacks can be military facilities and routes for the supply of Western weapons

In addition, we previously reported that US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that

Ukraine could launch a successful counteroffensive

in the spring, taking advantage of the exhaustion of the Russian army and the supply of Western weapons.
