A large alligator was spotted on a crowded street in the American city of Tampa, Florida.

He was walking near the Raymond James football stadium.

This was reported by CBS News with reference to the police.

Local residents, when they suddenly noticed a wild animal on the road, called the police.

Later, the crowd witnessed a real "show".

Six policemen blocked off the street to tame the beast that got lost.

One of the officers made a loop of rope and put it over the top of the alligator's mouth.

Later, he was helped by colleagues who tied other parts of the animal's body.

One of them was holding the alligator's head with his bare hands.

Declassified, the crocodile was turned over to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Service.

Specialists sent the alligator home - to its natural environment.

The police released a video of the "detention" of the reptile.

As you know, the alligator did not harm either cars or pedestrians.

We previously reported that in South Africa, an inquisitive crocodile visited vacationers on a picnic and stole a refrigerator with drinks.

Tourists who went on a safari first noticed a cheetah, and later a reptile also crawled out of the water.
