[Reporter Huang Ziyang/New Taipei Report] The New Taipei City Bureau of Transportation announced today (1) that the second phase of the smart driving electric bus dual-vehicle linkage test without passengers will be carried out at Danhai Kanding starting this month. It is expected to run from the 6th of this month to June On the 2nd, some roads were closed for testing at Tamsui Kanding 2nd Road and Xinshi 6th Road, reminding passers-by to pay attention.

Wu Zhengyan, Chief of the Comprehensive Planning Section of the Transportation Bureau, pointed out that at the end of March, two brand-new intelligent driving electric buses were tested at the Taiwan Intelligent Driving Test Laboratory in Tainan to verify the vehicle's automatic driving technology and safety capabilities. For the test without passenger load, the second phase of the test plan has a total length of 2.8 kilometers. It is estimated that the test will be carried out on closed sections of Danshui Kanding 2nd Road and Xinshi 6th Road from April 6th to June 2nd.

Wu Zhengyan explained that the second phase of the test is planned to be in October, and the two-car linkage circular bypass will be used to open to carry passengers. The Danhai New Town Station of the Danhai light rail has a total of 5 stations for connecting and carrying passengers.
