A wide-ranging meeting was held in the Baku City Executive Authority with the participation of the heads of the capital's economic structures.

A number of issues related to the preparation for the start of the spring-summer season were discussed at the meeting.

According to the information given to APA by the BSIH, tasks were given to the heads of relevant structures regarding the improvement of city parks and recreation areas and current maintenance in the parks.

At the same time, the importance of landscape design, restoration and renovation of the damaged lawn cover in the winter season, planting of new flowers and plants was emphasized.

The work of some republican organizations and relevant structures of the executive power was harshly criticized at the meeting.

So, since a number of original buildings were mistakenly not included in the list of historical heritage by the Ministry of Culture, they are in danger of being demolished.

Many architectural buildings were saved only after the intervention of President Ilham Aliyev and Heydar Aliyev Foundation head Mehriban Aliyeva.

As a new inventory of architectural buildings has been started by the Ministry and this process is developing in a positive direction, the regional executive authorities have been instructed to join this work, and specific measures have been determined to strengthen control in this direction.

The executive authorities of the capital regions have been instructed to, in agreement with the Union of Architects and other organizations, define a complete list of architectural buildings of cultural and historical value in a short period of time and submit to the Ministry of Culture.

At the meeting, the problem of buildings in a state of disrepair, which is extremely relevant for the residents of the capital, was raised.

It was reported that most of the dilapidated buildings were built during the Soviet era and their service life has ended.

We are mainly talking about five-story buildings, dormitories and other buildings called "Khrushchevka", and their list is constantly updated.

In particular, it was noted that as a result of the efforts of the country's leadership, 1239 dilapidated buildings were demolished in Baku in the last 5 years, tens of thousands of people were moved to new apartments or received appropriate compensation.

Currently, work in this direction continues and is under the control of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Regarding the issue, the structural units of the Baku City Executive Authority were instructed to strengthen control over the state of the capital's housing fund.

Also, in connection with the arrival of spring, it was decided to hold an image ceremony in Baku with the motto "Welcome Nowruz holiday with a clean city".

The Baku City Executive Power appealed to management and enterprise collectives, entrepreneurs, residents of the capital and guests of our city and called them to actively participate in the event.
