One of the largest Bulgarian communities abroad is the one in Germany.

However, it is not easy for our compatriots to find the contacts of Bulgarian specialists in the country.

However, one man is trying to change that.

Ivan Vasilev is a software specialist and decided to use his knowledge and invest his personal time to contribute to the Bulgarian community there.

This is how his idea for the website "Bulgarian contacts in Germany" was born.

After the idea, however, came the more difficult task before Ivan - the implementation.

"The technical part of the site was the easiest part of the job.

Contacts turned out to be quite a difficult task - finding them.

But several compatriots helped me.

At the moment, the site has about 1,000 contacts of Bulgarian doctors, dentists, lawyers, cultural societies, folk dance schools", the creator of the site told Nova TV.

Ivan's original idea was for the project to cover only one province in Germany, but it quickly covered the entire country.

In addition to contacts, the site also has content related to useful tips for everyday life in Germany.

"The most frequently asked questions are everyday topics - can I drive with a Bulgarian license in Germany, with Bulgarian registration numbers.

He asks about lawyers, often about children - things like that, bureaucratic problems.

You can find a lot of useful information about life in Germany", says Ivan Vasilev.

He shared that the initiative cost a lot of his personal time.

Any help with new ideas for it is welcome so that the contacts can be updated and new ones collected.
