[Reporter Qian Lizhong/Taipei Report] Shen Daxiang, the former lieutenant colonel captain of the Yilan Investigation Team of the Coast Guard, used human heads to make false report records during his tenure from 2009 to 2013, and fraudulently received 8 illicit cigarettes and alcohol rewards. In the second trial of the High Court, 7 crimes of taking advantage of job opportunities to fraudulently obtain property were sentenced to 7 years, 3 months to 9 years in prison, and 1 year and 4 months in prison for 1 crime of false publication by civil servants, but the combined sentence was not determined; the Supreme Court rejected Appeal decision; Taipei District Prosecutor's Office has summoned Shen to report to the prison today for execution.

Prosecution investigation, Shen Daxiang has dealt with the case of carrying illicit cigarettes for many years, and knew the loopholes in claiming bonuses. From December 2009 to September 2013, he took advantage of the anonymous protection of the informant, which made it difficult to check and compare. Rentou, acting as a whistleblower, made false reporting records, and then made false letters after the investigation of the illicit cigarette case, and fraudulently received a total of 7.37 million yuan in whistleblowing bonuses from the Ministry of Finance.

The first instance of the North Court found that Shen Daxiang failed to be honest and self-sustaining, which shamed most of the law-abiding sea patrol officers. Considering that he was limited by performance, merit awards, and smuggling information was not easy to obtain, he often had to spend his own money to cultivate relationships with informants. In order to obtain intelligence information, the combined amount of 8 crimes shall be sentenced to 10 years in prison.

The second instance of the High Court held that Shen Daxiang affected the image of a national civil servant. After committing the crime, he always denied the crime.

After today's imprisonment for execution, the prosecution will separately apply to the High Court for execution.
