On March 31, the Executive Board of the IMF approved the financing program for Ukraine

for 15.6 billion dollars.

for four years to meet the urgent needs of the state in the face of full-scale war. 

This information was confirmed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

The head of state thanked the IMF and its head Kristalina Georgieva for approving the program.

"Thank you to the IMF and Kristalina Georgieva for approving a new four-year support program for Ukraine in the total amount of $15.6 billion. This is an important help in our fight against Russian aggression. Together we support the Ukrainian economy and move forward to

victory

!"

Zelenskyi's statement says.

Note that this is the largest loan for Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, as well as the first large-scale package from the IMF for a country in a state of war.

We will remind, on March 29 it became known that Canada will provide Ukraine with new financial assistance in the form of a loan of 2.45 billion Canadian dollars (this is about 1.7 billion US dollars).
