The results of the survey found that the average score of respondents’ satisfaction with Taiwan’s taxi service was only 65.5 points, mainly dissatisfied with the newness and driving quality of the vehicles; 84.3% of the people agreed to install cameras in taxis, and 84.2% agreed that taxi drivers should have Good citizen certificate, reducing the probability of conflict or misunderstanding between drivers and passengers.

The taxi fares in Beibeiji will be officially raised on April 1. The survey also asked the public about these possible solutions, and found that as many as 84.3% of the public agree to install video cameras in taxis, and as high as 84.2% of the public agree that taxi drivers should have a good citizenship certificate.

The reasons in favor are mainly to avoid conflicts or misunderstandings between drivers and passengers, while the reasons for opposition are worried that the recorded video and sound will be used for other purposes arbitrarily, feeling being monitored, infringing personal privacy and fear of being secretly photographed.

With the advancement of technology and consumers' demand for service quality and payment convenience, the survey found that people's taxi-hailing habits have changed. APP-hailing taxis (56.5%) have become the most common way for people to solicit taxis, followed by roadside hailing taxis (21.3%) and call a car (21.1%).

In terms of car-hailing brand preference, Taiwan’s large fleet is the most popular brand for the public, but the public’s satisfaction with Uber is relatively high; those who choose Taiwan’s large fleet mainly prefer the brand’s ride safety and waiting time, while those who choose Uber mainly prefer the brand The vehicle is comfortable and tidy, and the car-calling interface is easy to operate.

In order to reduce carbon emissions, the world is actively electrifying transportation. The "Taxi Industry Service Quality Survey Report" was conducted from March 8 to 20 through online questionnaires. A total of 1,118 valid samples were collected, and the sampling error was plus or minus 2.9% at the 95% confidence level.
