Such was the Russian occupation of Buchi.

And also Irpenya, Borodyanka, Gostomel.

The tortured and killed are still found.

There are more than 1,300 of them in Kyiv region alone.

And behind each person killed is not just a statistical unit, but a very real face.

Man, his story, and grief for families.

One of these stories is the fate of Iryna Filkina, who died in Buch.

A photo with her neat manicure then flew around the world.

Mrs. Svitla lost her own sister in Bucha.

The family searched for her day and night.

There is still a place to come to Mrs. Svitlana's peace, to her sister.

And we are going to her.

Having made a stop to take flowers.

On March 5, 2022, 52-year-old Iryna Filkina was riding a bicycle on our way to Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka, just outside Bucha.

Iryna spent those first days at work, and hoped that everything would calm down a little, she would slip home.

I took a bicycle from a colleague.

But there were battles on the outskirts of Irpen, and Russian columns had already entered the nearby Bucha.

This is one of them.

The woman did not know about her, she could only guess, says her daughter.

But the mother did not listen, and hoped that no one would touch the unarmed woman.

For what?!

In the last phone conversation with her daughter, she was joking.

Journalists of the New York Times are convinced that Iryna Filkina is on this video.

Going downhill.

And as soon as he turns, he falls into the field of view of the Russians.

In a moment, you can see flashes from the machine gun, and smoke... where later they will see her killed.

This photo went around the world.

And it was by this manicure that she was recognized by the artist who did it a few days before the tragedy and even took a picture of her client.

Iryna's husband managed to get here only three weeks after the murder.

Because of his attempts to arrive earlier, he himself came under enemy fire.

But Irina herself was not at the place of death.

"I want to believe... I was lying at home for a month and a half, my door was open... I couldn't close it: it will come, and suddenly it will come..." - Anatoliy Filkin, the husband of the murdered woman, recalls.

The bodies of murdered Ukrainians were removed from the streets whenever possible, even before Kyiv Oblast was liberated.

Some were taken to morgues, some were buried wherever they could.

Irina Filkina had to search for a week and a half, and was found in a mass grave.

There were almost a hundred more civilians, with bullet wounds or traces of torture.

"To date, we have 1,373 bodies of our dead citizens, civilians, peaceful Ukrainians, who were killed on the territory of Kyiv region," says Andrii Nebytov, head of the National Police of Kyiv region.

For the most part, these crimes were committed by soldiers of the 64th motorized rifle brigade of the Russian army.

The Prosecutor General has already identified and announced suspicions against 18 of their fighters, and investigations are ongoing.

We will remind that the Prime Minister of Slovenia, Robert Golob, spoke in Ukrainian during the commemoration of the victims in Bucha, Kyiv region.
