Russian President Vladimir Putin recalled his country's ambassadors to Latvia and Estonia.

APA reports that the signed decree was published on the legal information official internet portal.

The decree stated that the Russian ambassador to Latvia, Mikhail Vanin, and the ambassador to Estonia, Vladimir Lipayev, were relieved of their duties.

It should be noted that at the beginning of February of this year, after Russia lowered the level of diplomatic relations with Estonia in response to the actions of the Estonian side, Lipayev left Estonia.

After that incident, Latvia also showed solidarity with Estonia and decided to lower the level of diplomatic relations with Russia.
