[Instant News/Comprehensive Report] Former President Ma Ying-jeou's visit to China sparked positive and negative confrontations in the political circles.

Bob Stewart, member of the British Parliament and chairman of the Taiwan British Parliamentary Group, made suggestions when he led a delegation to visit Taiwan last week, asking Ma Ying-jeou's visit to China not to become a symbol of Taiwan's surrender to China's ambitions.

When Stewart was interviewed by Taiwan Talks during his visit to Taiwan, he was asked what he thought of Ma Ying-jeou's visit to China?

Stewart said that Ma Ying-jeou has the freedom to visit China and no one can stop him.

But he changed the subject, advising Ma not to make the trip a symbol of Taiwan's submission to China's ambitions.
