By March 31, 2023, political parties must submit their financial statements for 2022 in electronic and paper form together with a model declaration containing a list of individuals who have made donations pursuant to Art.

34, para.

4 of the Law on Political Parties.

The Audit Chamber will publish on its website the reports by April 15, as well as a list of the names of the parties that did not submit reports and a list of the parties that received a state subsidy in the previous year.

An annual financial report that does not meet the requirements regarding the form, content and manner of its presentation, or is without the declaration under para.

4, is considered not submitted.

The consequences of non-submission or non-submission on time of the annual financial statements and declarations with a list of donors are: imposition of a property sanction on the political party from BGN 5,000 to BGN 10,000;

losing the right to state subsidy until the next elections for people's representatives;

possibility for the Sofia City Court to order the dissolution of the political party when annual financial statements for two consecutive years have not been submitted to the Audit Office.
