In Jharkhand's Dhanbad district, a case of alleged rape of a 70-year-old visually impaired elderly woman by the former landlord has come to light.

The police gave this information on Thursday.

He said that the alleged incident took place on Monday in Sudamdih area of ​​the district, 170 km from capital Ranchi, when the victim was alone at home.

An official said that the woman and her relatives lodged an FIR against the 55-year-old landlord on Wednesday.

In-charge of Sudamdih police station Pradeep Rana told that the accused is absconding after the incident.

He told, “The police is probing the matter.

The woman and her family members are being questioned.

A search operation has been launched to nab the accused.” The victim's son said that they used to live on rent in the accused's house before being shifted to Sudamdih area a few months back.
