According to Reuters, Spain reached a record high temperature on Wednesday (29th), exceeding the average temperature by 7 to 14 degrees, the hottest day on record. As the temperature soared abnormally, the Asturias region in northern Spain (Asturias ) fires blazed across several woodlands on Thursday.

Since the beginning of this week, forests in many areas of Spain have been ravaged by fires. The eastern coastal city of Valencia (Valencia) broke out on the 26th. Nearly 1,500 residents were forced to evacuate.

In addition, raging fires also occurred in the autonomous region of Galicia (Galicia), engulfing more than 1,100 hectares of forest land.

Asturias regional chief Adrian Barbon said those responsible for the arson should be brought to justice.

After the forest fire in this area, the Spanish government banned anyone from entering the forest trails and using any machinery in the forest area to prevent another fire.
