New Delhi:

The central government has taken cognizance of the violence that broke out on the occasion of Ram Navami in Howrah, West Bengal.

The Union Home Minister has spoken to West Bengal Governor CV Bose over the phone regarding this.

He inquired about law and order in the state.

Along with this, the Home Minister has spoken to BJP State President Sukant Mazumdar on the phone.

On the other hand, the West Bengal BJP has moved the Calcutta High Court regarding the violence.

The state BJP has demanded the High Court to get the violence investigated by the NIA. 

Violence broke out in Howrah, West Bengal, during the Shobha Yatra on the occasion of Ram Navami.

In which two communities came face to face and there was a lot of stone pelting and arson.

After this today again there is news of violence in Howrah.

According to media reports, violence broke out once again on Friday and stone pelting took place in Shivpur of Howrah.

Shubhendu Adhikari files PIL in Calcutta High Court


Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Shubhendu Adhikari has filed a PIL in the Calcutta High Court regarding the incidents of violence in Howrah and Dalkhola.

The officer demanded an investigation by the NIA from the court.

Along with this, Shubhendu Adhikari has also demanded the deployment of CRPF in the violence affected area.

The court has agreed to hear the matter.

The matter will be heard on 3 April.

Here, Mamta Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee also held a press conference and demanded NIA to investigate Howrah and Dalkhola violence.
