Due to bad weather in the national capital, 22 flights were diverted from Delhi airport on Thursday evening.

These flights were dispatched to Lucknow, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh and Dehradun.

An airport official gave this information.

Light rain accompanied by thunderstorm occurred in some parts of the national capital.

The official said that 11 flights were dispatched to Lucknow, eight flights to Jaipur and one each to Ahmedabad, Chandigarh and Dehradun.

At the same time, the effect of Western Disturbance remains in North-Western India, due to which it rained with strong winds for the second consecutive day in the national capital on Thursday evening.

Officials of the Meteorological Department (IMD) gave this information.

The Meteorological Department has predicted similar weather on Friday as well.
