On March 31, the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Aykhan Hajizade, responded to the allegations made by the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Nasir Kanani.

APA reports that Aykhan Hajizadeh said that referring to the press briefing of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov during his visit to the State of Israel, regarding the allegations made by the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Nasir Kanani, on March 31, we recommend to the press secretary that Minister Jeyhun Bayramov listen carefully to the ideas:

"As it is known, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov did not express any position against Iran during the press briefing with the Israeli Foreign Minister. In this regard, we consider this statement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran as the next anti-Azerbaijani step.

We inform you that Azerbaijan has never allowed its territory to be used against third countries.

On the contrary, threats and provocations have been made against Azerbaijan from the territory of Iran.

For example, military exercises by Iran along the borders of Azerbaijan, military operations across the border, anti-Azerbaijani statements by Iranian officials, even involving children by Iranian security structures such as the IRGC, and threatening videos against Azerbaijan near Khudafarin bridge. shooting and demonstration, the terrorist attack against Azerbaijan's embassy in Iran, the initial traces of the investigation of the terrorist act against Fazil Mustafa, a member of the Milli Majlis, can be noted.

He said that today, the Iranian-Armenian brotherhood remains a threat to the region as a whole:

"During the last 30 years, Iran has actually, with its silent consent, turned a blind eye to the occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia. The occupation of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur and the looting of these territories, the sale of stones removed from the houses in these territories in Iranian markets, the destruction and insult of 65 of the 67 existing mosques it is well known that Iran does not pay attention to it.

Regarding the mentioned, we strongly condemn the statement of press secretary Nasir Kanani.

This statement is the next step in the crisis of Azerbaijan-Iran relations".

The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that these threats from the Iranian side can never scare Azerbaijan:

"Despite the military support sent to Armenia from the territory of Iran, the Azerbaijani army defeated the invading Armenian army in 2020. After that, any aggression and provocation against Azerbaijan will be resolutely prevented."
