UK joins CPTPP Japanese media: Taiwan is next
The UK announced on March 30 that it has reached an membership agreement with eleven member states of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP, see picture, European News Agency), becoming the first new member of the organization since its establishment in 2018 country, and the first European country.
The Japanese media Evening Kan Fuji reported that the progress of Taiwan and China’s accession to the membership has attracted attention after the UK’s membership. Professor Shimada Yoichi of Fukui Prefectural University believes that if the principle of allowing the UK to join the membership is compared, “Of course Taiwan will be next.”

Trump sues ex-president in first A-movie actress hush money case
A grand jury in Manhattan, New York, voted on March 30 to indict former President Trump, making Trump the first former president to face criminal charges in U.S. history and possibly the first presidential candidate to be indicted.
Trump, who claims to be a victim of political persecution, has maintained his innocence and is believed to turn himself in and appear in court next week for an arraignment hearing.

Pufa's 6,000 yuan was originally planned to be credited from April 6, but Wangdao Bank credited it earlier yesterday.

President Tsai: Taiwan is the responsible side on both sides of the Strait
On the evening of the 30th Eastern Time, President Tsai Ing-wen was invited to attend a gala hosted by the Washington DC think tank "Hudson Institute" and was awarded the "Global Leadership Award".
Tsai emphasized in his speech, "China deliberately raises tensions, but Taiwan always responds cautiously and calmly, letting the world see that Taiwan is the responsible party in cross-strait relations."

Monkeypox quarantine to be relaxed, mild cases can stay at home
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention decided to relax monkeypox isolation standards after discussion at an expert meeting yesterday. If mild cases have no medical needs and the home environment meets the conditions, they can return home to take care of themselves. Hospitalization is only required if the condition requires care.
An additional 10,000 bottles of monkeypox vaccine have also arrived, and the second stage of appointment and vaccination will be implemented before April 15.

Chen Jianren calls on the mainland not to provoke
President Tsai Ing-wen led a delegation to visit Belize and Guatemala, Central American countries with diplomatic relations, to embark on a "Democratic Partnership for Common Prosperity Journey", and will meet with House Speaker McCarthy in California next week. Traffic on Qingming National Highway Increased by 40%
Today is the 5-day Qingming holiday.
