The Unión Eléctrica (UNE) informs that throughout the day of this Thursday, March 30, including the night peak hours, it is expected to cover the demand for electricity, so no service interruptions due to a generation deficit are estimated.

According to the entity's daily report, unit 6 of the Nuevitas thermoelectric power plant (CTE) and unit 2 of the Felton CTE are out of service due to a breakdown;

and under maintenance, unit 8 of the CTE Mariel, the unit of the CTE Guiteras, unit 4 of the CTE Cienfuegos and units 4 and 6 of the CTE Renté.

The limitations in thermal generation continue, with 292 megawatts (MW), and in distributed generation, 827 MW are unavailable due to failure and 164 MW are under maintenance.

For rush hour, the UNE foresees the entry of unit 2 of the Robustiano León hydroelectric plant, with 14 MW;

the Energas Puerto Escondido unit, with 20 MW;

and one motor, with 18 MW, at CDE Mariel;

as well as the completion of unit 6 of Energas Boca de Jaruco, with 10 MW.

With this forecast, an availability of 2,912 MW and a maximum demand of 2,680 MW are estimated for this time, for a reserve of 232 MW, so that if the forecast conditions are maintained, no affectations to the service are forecast due to lack of ability.

The communication refers that this Wednesday (March 29) the service was not affected due to a generation deficit in the national electrical system.
