The General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey discussed the proposal to approve the Protocol on the admission of Finland to NATO.

The proposal put to the vote of the deputies was accepted.

With this, the step taken in the Parliament for the country's NATO membership has been completed.

Before that, Finland received the approval of 29 NATO member countries.

Its membership will be possible with the consent of Turkey.

The text adopted in the General Assembly will be sent to President Erdogan for approval.
