On March 29, 2023, the opening ceremony of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the State of Israel was held with the participation of Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel Eli Cohen.

Also at the event were Israel's intelligence minister Gila Gamliel, head of the Azerbaijan-Israel inter-parliamentary relations working group Anatoliy Rafailov, chairman of the Milli Majlis international relations and inter-parliamentary relations committee Samad Seyidov, numerous MPs, chairman of the Knesset's security and foreign policy committee Yuli Edelstein, Israeli-Israeli in the Israeli Knesset. Vladimir Beliak, head of the Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group, members of the Knesset, Yisrael Beytenu party chairman Avigdor Lieberman, members of the Azerbaijani Jewish community, social and political figures of Israel, former speaker of the Knesset Dalia Itzik, deputy mayor of Jerusalem, etc.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that the opening of the Embassy will further deepen the existing strategic relations between Azerbaijan and Israel, and also emphasized the important role of the Azerbaijani community in Israel in the relations between the two countries.

Talking about the importance Azerbaijan attaches to relations with Israel, the minister said that these relations are based on the coexistence of peoples in peace and tranquility.

The importance of the existing high-level political dialogue between the countries, as well as the work of the joint Intergovernmental Commission, was noted in bilateral relations.

Speaking at the event, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen emphasized the development perspectives of cooperation in security, economy, energy, tourism, education and other fields.

He pointed out that the opening of the embassy is a very important historical event in relations.

Later, with the participation of the ministers, the opening ceremony of the plaque with the name of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Israel was held.

An exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Israel was also shown at the event.

The event continued with a concert program performed by prominent representatives of classical and folk music of Azerbaijan.
