On March 30, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov met with Riyad Al-Maliki, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine and Palestinians living abroad, as part of his official visit to Palestine.

According to the information given to APA by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the actual issues on the agenda of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Palestine, including the regional situation, were discussed at the meeting.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said that high-level mutual visits between Azerbaijan and Palestine, including political dialogue, play an important role in the development of relations based on friendship, solidarity and mutual respect between the two countries.

The effective cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Palestine in various, including political, economic, cultural, humanitarian, educational, tourism and other fields on a bilateral basis, and on a multilateral basis the United Nations (UN), Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) ) and the existence of mutual support within the framework of other international organizations was noted with satisfaction.

It was emphasized that Azerbaijan supports the peaceful resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which threatens international peace, security and stability and has caused a serious humanitarian crisis in the region, based on the two-state model in accordance with international legal norms, including UN Security Council resolutions.

Informing the other side about the regional situation in the post-conflict period in detail, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said that Azerbaijan is determined to continue its activities in this field despite the efforts made by Azerbaijan in the direction of establishing peace and security in the region, as well as advancing the peace agenda with Armenia. said.

Minister Riyad Al-Maliki talked about the prospects of the bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Palestine and emphasized the importance of expanding efforts to further develop relations.

In this regard, it was noted that the political consultations held between the two states made a great contribution to the current political dialogue.

The humanitarian support of our country to Palestine was highly appreciated, and the importance of increasing support in this field was noted.

Azerbaijan's educational scholarship for Palestinian students has been highly appreciated.
