[Reporter Yu Zhaofu/New Taipei Report] The DPP’s Sanchong District Legislative Primary Election was fierce. Former New Taipei City Councilor Li Kuncheng, current Councilor Li Yudian, and current Councilor Peng Jiayun were determined to run for the election. If you want to withdraw from the election, the negotiation will break down.

After coordinating with the nominating group of the Central Party Headquarters of the Democratic Progressive Party, it was confirmed that the so-called good faith clause does not apply to the triple constituency because there are no incumbent legislators participating in the primary election.

Therefore, Sanchong District will follow the tradition of the party and encourage outstanding political party members to participate in the primary election, and the candidate who has the most local public opinion will be selected by the polls to compete with the blue camp.

Peng Jiayun said that she is the person with the highest chance of winning the election no matter in the internal polls or the affirmation of voters in the past.

She is very confident that she will win the triple regional legislator seats, and win the 2024 presidential election together with party chairman Lai Qingde. The people trust Chairman Lai and the DPP.

Li Kuncheng said that he told the coordinating members of the Central Party Committee that he gave up his re-election last year and was determined to run for the legislator in Sanchong District. Therefore, his candidacy fully complies with the integrity clause of the Party Central Committee and also meets what Chairman Lai said. The spirit of the overall situation.

Li Kuncheng emphasized that voters support the principle of honesty, so he is currently leading in the polls. He represents the election of the three legislators. Not only is he guaranteed to win, but there will be no incumbent members who will lose one seat because of running for the election, and they cannot be replaced. The problem is a win-win situation for the citizens of Sanchong.

Li Yudian said that it is impossible for him to withdraw from the election. People in the Central Party Committee have suggested that the Central Party Committee will conduct polls before April 11 and use the results for the primary election. He also agrees with this fair approach.

He also emphasized that he has worked in Sanchong for 30 years. He has been a representative, county and city councilor, etc., and has a solid strength. The DPP has no absolute advantage in Sanchong. Glory again.
