A video circulated on Weibo, a Chinese community platform, pointed out that a temporary wooden road has been built in the local area to lead to the Ma family's ancestral grave, so that Ma Ying-jeou can worship his ancestors.

According to the itinerary plan previously announced by the Ma Ying-jeou Foundation, Ma Ying-jeou will go to Baishi Town, Xiangtan County, Xiangtan City, Hunan Province to worship his ancestors on April 1.

From the video circulating on Weibo, it can be seen that there was originally a cement road in Baishi Town leading to the Ma family ancestral grave, but it was relatively narrow. Recently, a red wooden road was built next to the cement road to make the whole road wider.

Ma Ying-jeou was born in Xiangtan, Hunan Province, was born in Hong Kong in 1950, and moved to Taiwan in 1952.

A reporter from the Chinese media Qilu Evening News visited Baishi Town on the 25th. The report pointed out that some villagers pointed out that many locals and foreigners have come to visit or pay respects to Ma's ancestral grave recently. One of them is Ma Ying-jeou's cousin according to his seniority.

The report also pointed out that Ma Ying-jeou's grandfather, Ma Li'an, took the lead in building the ancient wharf at the site, the Free Ferry in front of the Temple Gate, which is now a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit in Hunan Province.
