The New Taipei District Court sentenced Lin Bingshu to 2 years and 10 months for 8 crimes including compulsory crimes and obstructing secrets, including the crime of injury Sentenced to 8 months, not subject to fines. After the appeal, the High Court held its first hearing this afternoon. Lin Bingshu appeared in court and denied the crime. The victim Gao Jiayu asked her defense lawyer Wang Yiru to appear in court to accuse Lin Bingshu of being suspected of committing the crime of private detention against her. In addition, Gao Jiayu also believed that she was not the only victim, and the victim who dared not sue for fear of retribution, so she filed an appeal, hoping that no other women would be victimized in the future, and hoped that the high court would sentence Lin severely.

Gao Jiayu's defense lawyer, Wang Yiru, explained the reason for the appeal after the trial and pointed out that the first-instance judgment had determined that Lin Bingshu did injure, intimidate and control Gao Jiayu's mobile phone between November 11 and 12 of the previous year. As for the part of private detention, the Supreme Court pointed out that if the defendant uses illegal means to control the victim and restrict the victim's freedom of movement, it should be regarded as the crime of private detention, because Lin Bingshu really The above-mentioned crimes of harming and intimidating Gao Jiayu should have constituted the crime of private detention and should be sentenced.

In addition, regarding the sentencing part of the first trial, this case was a violent act in an intimate relationship. Lin Bingshu used the victim's emotions in the intimate relationship to repeatedly intimidate the victim and act in obedience to Lin Bingshu. What's more frightening is that Gao Jiayu was not the only victim. This is what Gao Jiayu has repeatedly advocated. The reason why she bravely faced the lawsuit was not only for herself, but also for those "victims" who were afraid of retaliation and did not dare to go out to file a lawsuit. I hope the High Court can consider Lin Bingshu's repeated use of human weakness to manipulate and coerce women's vicious behavior, and give him a heavy sentence.

A few days ago, the high court considered that Lin Bingshu’s restriction on leaving the country and going to sea would expire, and summoned Lin to appear in court. Lin played the sad card and said that he was suffering from diabetes and other chronic diseases. He was even critically ill last year, and he would never escape. The court determined that it was still necessary for Lin to be punished by immigration control, and ordered him to extend the restriction on leaving the country and going to sea for 8 months.

In January last year, the New Taipei prosecutors prosecuted Lin Bingshu for the crimes of injury, coercion, lynching and detention, intimidation, defamation of reputation, forgery of documents, obstruction of secrets, and obstruction of computer use, and requested a heavier sentence.

In July last year, the New Taipei District Court determined that there was no need for Lin to be detained, and ruled that Lin should be released on bail for 800,000 yuan. On September 30 last year, Lin was sentenced to 2 years and 10 months in prison, including 10 months for the injury crime.
