"Two generations lived without the threat of nuclear war, but that period is over. No one knows if Putin will not press the nuclear button," journalist Dmitry Muratov told CNN.

Muratov is the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta", which was closed by the Russian authorities.

"We see how state propaganda prepares people to think that nuclear war is not a bad thing," says the journalist.

According to Muratov, nuclear weapons are advertised in Russia like pet food is advertised.

He thinks this is how they are trying to prepare people for nuclear war.
