The dead bodies of a woman and her three children, allegedly cut off by a train, have been found on the railway track on Wednesday in the direction of the down rail line in Nimia, about two kilometers from Daltonganj railway station.

Police gave this information.

Superintendent of Police Chandan Kumar Sinha told that on receiving the information about the incident, he himself reached the Sadal Bal incident site and found the dead bodies lying in the middle of the track and on its side.

He told that according to preliminary investigation, the woman has been identified as Manita Devi (30), resident of Hariharganj police station area.

All the three dead children belong to this woman, two of them are girls and one is a boy.

The age of all the children is between four and eight years.

The Superintendent of Police said that prima facie the matter appears to be an accident, but it is being investigated.

At present, the woman's family has been informed and the four bodies have been sent to Medinirai Medical College for postmortem.
